As the second developer of the company, I worked in several areas, from going out to test prototypes with customers on the streets to develop the features that built the global architecture of Youse.

My main tasks are to plan, develop, roll out and maintain our insurance platform. We work with small, self-contained teams, where every step of the job is everybody's concern, so we plan the new features based on numbers and real data, create test scenarios, develop features or bug fixes (or even collateral effects from errors in the production environment) and keep track of the performance in production.

Besides that, I am responsible for the new developer's and the trainees, for the developers hiring process (working side by side with the HR) and I am part of the architecture committee and the group that organizes internal activities like tech talks, book clubs and so on.

Abril Mídia is the IT department of Abril Group, the largest magazine publisher in the country with over 300 different magazines published annually. It sells 180 million issues every year with 4 million subscriptions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To plan, develop and deploy websites and systems.

- Technical leadership and cooperation among different teams.

- Support agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban)

Ruby on Rails, MySql, Redis, Memcached, REST, JQuery, Amazon AWS, CI with Jenkins, C#, SQL Server, MongoDB, Xamarin Studio.

Highlights:

I have worked on many different projects inside the company. The biggest challenge was Exame.com, a website that demanded high scalability, reaching an audience of 90 million page views/month and about 6 million unique visitors per month.

Siplan is a company focused on the automation of register and notary's offices. The main projects I worked on were the WebTD (documents, contracts, and notifications) and WebRI (real estate offices), the most important systems of the company.

Roles and responsibilities:

- To plan, create and maintain the software in C# .Net and SQL Server, for both Web and Desktop applications.

- Create reports with VS View and Visual Basic.

- Customer-facing support, interacting with the clients.

MSTech is a software house focused on education and e-learning. The main project, Aluno Monitor, is a Microsoft initiative to provide basic training in technology and information for educators and students in Brazil.

Roles and responsibilities:

? Software development with C# .Net and SQL Server 2000, integrated with Microsoft Office.

? Creation of contents for the online classes.

? In partnership with Unesp, I was assigned to give lectures to disseminate the .Net technology among students, inside and outside the University.

I was part of the organization of the ASP.Net Study group (.Net cell) and built the initial structure of the Junior Enterprise of the University.

Núcleo Amizade is an NGO that takes care of children from families living in the suburb of Bauru, in the countryside of São Paulo, where I lived during the University period. They had a structure with classrooms, a computer laboratory, a dentist's office, and a haircutter, and the children spent the evenings there while their parents were working.

Roles and responsibilities:

As a volunteer, I used to go there all Saturdays to help the teachers within the classes, making sure nothing was missing and taking care of the children (they were around 10 years old)
