For 4 years I was an elected councillor, putting my communication, organisation, networking and leadership skills to use for the local community. From being the chair of a licensing panel for several years to organising multiple large scale public events each year, my role was wide and varied which put my skills to good use and allowed them to grow.

Head of Digital Marketing

As Head of Digital Marketing at RedStar, I oversaw the Digital Marketing campaigns of over 40 clients, covering many industries from Fashion Retail to Public Bodies. As part of my role I met with clients on a regular basis, reporting back to clients and the director of RedStar. I also in managing client work, worked with other line managers to prioritise staff management to ensure work was completed on time.
In addition to strategising and researching for clients, consulting with client and their marketing teams, I was responsible for the running of all campaigns from Organic SEO, Paid Advertising and Social Media Management to E-mail Marketing and User Experience improvement.

Alongside my other work (when not working for an Agency) I have worked as an SEO Consultant, working with all kinds of clients big and small, start ups to multi-nationals, helping them to make the most of their online assets and ensure they can grow. My role as a consultant has been varied from advisory to internal teams, to managing projects, to creating and running whole marketing projects, in addition to general SEO work.

Consultant and Marketer to The Oomph Portable Coffee Maker from phase 2 concept model. I designed and ran the crowdfunding campaign for The Oomph, achieving 234% of it's target, followed by £130K in sales within 30 days of closing on KickStarter. We were featured across the internet on several industry websites. Later in the year gained backing of a dragon from BBC Dragons Den, a part of the marketing plan - a few weeks later my contract with The Oomph ended.
