Meet Remco! I am a professional who is very passionate, ambitious, social and positive in life. I think in terms of solutions and I like to handle challenges. People management is one of my strengths where I can convince and win people. With various international experiences in the hospitality industry, both operational and in management, and my experience within sales, it is time to broaden my horizons and to look further into my future. Going out of the comfort zone is what I am looking for and am eager to learn for what it takes to get there.

As a Coordinator within the Transformations, Acquisitions, and Projects team, I am responsible for the operational coordination and execution of various projects within Fletcher Hotels. This includes overseeing construction and renovation projects, transforming hotel concepts, and managing acquisitions. Additionally, I lead crisis management projects ("Fever to Favor") and a range of annual operational initiatives.
A key aspect of my role involves coordinating the deployment of all-round hotel managers and department heads at the cluster level, ensuring optimal resource allocation and collaboration to achieve project objectives. With a hybrid working model, I manage projects both in the Netherlands and Germany, working closely with different departments and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.

We do this together from our more than 110 hotels and from the head office in Nieuwegein.My work is varied and unique. In my role as Coördinator Operational Support, I tackle operational issues for our hotels or the chain on a project basis. I provide the bridge between all Fletcher Hotels locations and the head office. In my role I am the backbone of operational director Ben de Ruijter and I take on tasks such as assessing rolling forecasts, taking the lead in organizing events, take on ongoing projects and I accompany our director when visiting hotels or new acquisitions.

The 2 hotels mentioned above work together fully operationally, but on paper they are 2 separate hotels. Fletcher-hotels Rotterdam has a total of 274 rooms and 41 meeting rooms of various sizes. In addition, Fletcher Wings has an Event Hall of 900 m2, which can accommodate up to 1000 people. My responsibility is therefore to manage the entire Food & Beverage department of these hotels. This includes the daily operation of the restaurants and sports bar, the events and the banquetting rooms. I am part of the management team improving our service, turnover and quality daily.

My role within Temper was to acquire and onboard new businesses. In my time at Temper, the number of clients has doubled. From 5000 companies to 10,000+ companies on which I am proud of. Targets were crushed and awards such as the Tech5 Community Award and EY Emerging Entrepreneur Of The Year 2019 were won during this period. Unfortunately I had to leave Temper with a descending contact since the impact of the corona virus hit Temper too hard.

Chosen as the IFT-captain by my fellow students, I had the responsibility for the recruitment of future students, the sales and promotion of the IFT program. Furthermore, I co-organized and supervised a summer school during this period.


I was representative at schools and fairs all over the Netherlands to promote the program. Presenting for large groups, giving guided tours and organizing a summer school are now part of my expertise.

Broken Sound is a members-only 5-star platinum country club with 2 18-holes golf courses and 24 tennis courts.

A club where you have to build up your status as a staff member, where I started as an assistant server. After a week I directly got the appreciation and was crowned to server. After a month I got the opportunity as an assistant dining room manager / special events coordinator.


My responsibilities were setting-up and breaking down special events, monitoring the service for the members, making floor plans, schedules, training the operating staff and communicating with the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage Director.
